About 3D printing file export and import in Creo
After exporting Part file in STL FILE FORMAT and same file opens in Creo it looks different not looks smooth as Part file. Does it affect 3D printing output if so how to correct it to get smooth 3D printing output.
Accepted answer
An STL (stereolithography) file is indeed tesselated and is not as smooth as the original model file. STL files essentially represent the shape with triangles and the chord length determines how smooth it will be. It will never match the original geometry. If you want smooth 3D printing output, you need to use another file export format like STEP AP 242.
