I'm trying to gather different people opinions about this topic. I may try and present the idea to my company leaders and wanted to see what others input would be.

that depends tremedously upon several factors,

  • what is the terget use of the printer,
  • what is the budget,
  • what is the real need of your company that a 3d metal printer can help out with,
  • what is the targeted market and how likely are they to pay for having a 3D printed service (hint, it is not a cheap service)
  • how fast is it going to pay for itself
  • and others to be considered

The main use is for printing machines (shells and/or parts). The budget range will depend on the printer. If a printer fits the basic needs, then justification, at least on my end is easy. It'll be for Internal use mainly with potential branching out to external. I have the backing I need from our director. I know how to handle the company.

My main question is recommended brands and or specific printers with a decent Bed Size from others view points.
