I'm also not sure why you didn't just use solid and shell it out instead of building it with surfaces ... maybe surfaces is better, I'd have to sit down and really see, but I think doing it with solids would have saved you some work

I think sucking would happen in a thicker place

Keith Schubert: I think you're being too hard on him, and I get the impression that you might be one of those guys that think surfaces have little purpose because most anything can be done with solids. There probably isn't any intention of molding this, a lot of people are making stuff like this to 3D Print, and a lot of training and tutorials don't include draft or really proper design. It probably isn't too bad for a tutorial for beginners to start doing slightly more difficult things. One other point, if he's a Catia guy, it's pretty common to model like that with Catia.
