Does anyone know any machine or application utilize double rack gear mechanism ?

I don't remember any machine specifically. But it is very easy to see the swaying effect caused by the mechanism on the horizontal platform (regardless of whether it works with a single pinion and a suitable guide on the platform, or if it rests on those two wheels with pinions... the back and forth movement is the same).
It occurs to me that it could be applied for a liquid mixing action, or for sifting or accommodating solid particles.

As an additional detail: the pinions working between a fixed rack, below, and a mobile one above, cause the multiplication (double the travel, speed and accelerations) of the movement of the end of the connecting rod, activated by the crank. This is so regardless of the diameter of the sprockets.

Otherwise, the rack and pinions do not justify their presence much because the end of the connecting rod could be connected directly to a table on horizontal guides.
