How to calculate failure load using ANSYS?
I'm doing my master's project, which aims to treat a fracture of the femur in elderly women. As so, I have a design of a scaffold and I would like to use ANSYS to calculate the failure load, compressive modulus, and stiffness. Can someone please help, as I have no idea how to perform it?
The load on the top surface of the scaffold would be 945.3N. It is necessary to divide this value by the surface?

Hello Sofia, I can help you with your concept. If you need to know whether will bone breaks for a given load. Then find the minimum cross-sectional area on the longitudinal axis. Stress calculated = Force/(Min Cross section area), if this calculated stress is less than experimental ultimate strength then bone wont break else it will.
