How to use Blend surface of freestyle workbench?

When I am using "Blend surface" from the freestyle workbench, the surfaces are not matching with each other. There is a little bit of a gap between the two surfaces. How to blend a surface with a line so that the surfaces match perfectly?

The Blend Surface tool will add a new surface to fill the gap between two surfaces. Add Tangent Continuity (or Curvature Continuity) to get a nice, smooth match.
