Radio Frequency (RF) & Wireless Design

I do not think it is a dish. It could be anything behind the radome, most probably something like a backfire or similar. I suppose it is not desired to have a too sharp radiation diagram for such placed antenna, even that the whole rocket body is turning around the axis during the flight.

It's very possible ! I am not sure since i didn't look very hard for any information on this antenna, but would be intersted to know what you find on it. Thanks !
