3D Printing Group

I vote for Solidworks, but that is what I use every day. be aware I'm not sure any FEA software is going to accurately reflect the correct physical characteristics of a 3d printed medium. the direction of print and density and infill will all play a part besides just the material itself.

I think it will need another scientific knowledge about how the metal powder can fuse when subjected to laser beam, how long it need time to melt and bond. Knowledge about Sintering process it will be also needed. Solidworks or catia maybe best but the properties of rolled metal compared to sintered metal will be different, the tensile strength for example.
