Electric Motorcycles & Electric Bicycles

French motorcycle manufacturer DAB Motors has unveiled its new concept electric motorcycle, the DAB Concep-E. The prototype was developed with design house Outercraft, and uses a 10 kW (13.4 bhp) electric motor with a 51.8 V lithium-ion battery pack, providing performance comparable to 125 cc motorcycles. The company has not announced any claimed range for the electric bike, but it certainly looks modern and chic, and should offer a perfect option for the daily commute across the city. What the Concept-E however boasts of, are premium, top-spec components.

Am I right , are you going to build it by yourself ?

Yes, they looks cool , but I think I wold be change the seat , It looks strange , but in all it's very pretty ...

On my opinion yes , would be good to leave gas tank's shapes but transform it in some storage ...

I don't recommend you only use it storage to keep battery because they are quite heavy and they will up it center of gravity ... )

In spite of how much I want to, I won't be able to with my current skill set, but hopefully one day. I think bike itself will look more like LM-S but with a battery pack and motor.

The design of the electric motorcycle I think is very beautiful, I like this style. about the fake gas tank, it is very useful for positioning, those who practice motocros or enduro, we walk with our legs pressing against the tank as it gives more firmness, so it is useful to keep the sides to accommodate the legs.

And one more things , I just watched the video which author share , and on that video ceo or owner , I don't know who it was , he said that it's cost about 17 thousand euro !

That is absurd price for it on my personal opinion ... That is huge check...

For what pay here , for nice design ? Yes design here really interesting , but its only single benefit here , and as I see and understand there is no any new technologies here , maybe only one dashboard, and that is all...

As I guess here some type of ktm engine , so that isn't them developing ...

that's an interesting point, so make the tank an integrated part of chassis

yeah that's why people build their own bikes. Good bikes are always overpriced and perceived as a luxury rather than a commodity.

yeah, I see it now, brings me back to my point where most of futuristic bikes have wedge solid blocky look; not curvy.
